( most days, aurelia can stay still, abiding by the rules without question. some days, she feels as if she may go mad staying hidden, keeping her correspondence limited and her circle of close contacts small.

it will all be worth it, she reminds herself, watching those precious few holograms from her parents from time to time when she wishes to see their faces. this is to ensure that the sacrifices they both made weren't for naught.
